One day in Inverness!

Post by philamor » Mon Dec 25, 2006 9:09 pm

A mate of mine and I were waiting in a car park for a lift to our required destination. We had a wee while to kill so we decided to go for a wee wander. I started to hum a tune that might go with our meanderings, whereby all manner of slang and synonyms for the word WALK came aout - saunter, ramble, etc, but jaunt seemed to go the best, so the titile was born with half the tune, the other half coming a day or two after the first part.

Please leave critique if you wish, good or bad, it all helps the composing curve towards being able to realise others are taking interest and that maybe, just maybe, one of my compsitions might have merit - miracles do happen!

That's a nice little tune; considering how it really gets going in the 2nd part, I think it could definitely stand a 3rd and 4th part.

Well, funny you should say that guys, I have had the 3rd & 4th part in my PC for a wee while now, but left the two parter as it does stand up on its own so would be good as part of a medley if required.

So, here is the 4 parter - hope it holds up! Happy New Year all!

If you cannot write a tune down that you can play so that they are identical, how can you truly say you know the tune!

Nice! the 3rd and 4th part get increasingly close to a hornpipe an I could see someone dancing to it.
