Debka K'fitza

A Debka is a very energetic Middle-eastern, and sometimes Balkan, Line Dance. Often danced at weddings. This was written for a friend and former workmate of mine, Makhmud, on the occaison of his wedding.

I composed it in the Bedouin style, which has an earthy disregard for key changes. Their pipes have lost the bag, but they do circular breathing.

For a wedding, usually accompianied by staccato bursts from the Bedouin soldier's IDF-issued arms. And lots of fireworks.

Enjoy!
-David.
