Melodically, I can't fault this tune at all. If Dunblane and Cullen Bay had a child, this would be it. Unquestionably, this would sound beautiful with a strong, simple harmony.

Regarding similarities to other tunes, well, I tend to look at it this way: It clearly isn't a duplicate of any preexisting tune that I know. If you have given us a few familiar themes and phrases, then you have also brought out a traditional sound with your own musical sense.

This would be well-displayed with a 2-to-1 ratio of melody to harmony.
