Another hornreel. Yes, yes, I know, there are lots of complaints about rounded "hornreels," especially from judges and piping institutions. But rhythm-oriented pieces versus strong melody pieces should not be seen as if they are in competition with each other. The GHB is an instrument par excelance for both rhythm and melody. Can't we live with more possibilities and just say "great!"

Damn the judges and "experts" about rounded anything. It is the EXPRESSION that counts and indeed as you said, the GHB is a double-punch instrument when it comes to rhythm and melody. That is why marches sounds greatly rhythmical and slow airs hauntingly melodious!
