It's one of my first attempts in composing. Please tell me what do you think about it.

This Is A Really Good Catchy Tune Some People
Might Comment That It's Written Out Wrongly But
That's Only A Wee Thing Great Work

The melody of the tune is very catchy. Good Job

Just have another look at it. Having a g gracenote on every second note isn't really necessary. They dominate the tune too much. Try to mix it up a bit.

I like this very much. Play it both ways--with all those cuttings and in a lighter version. I am not so sure that the tune doesn't work well with them--if you want that choppy effect. But there is room for all tastes in such matters.

Some spot harmony--just on the strong beats--might really carry this over the top.

Does this represent anything of a folk style from your country?

Good job--and not just as a "1st attempt."

-David.

Thanks. Well, it does not represent our folk style, but I can rewrite some of our folksongs on bagpipe writer. I bet you'll like some of them!
