ON THIS DAY in 1303, a Scots army defied all the odds to defeat the English at the battle of Roslin.
It ended as the bloodiest battle ever fought ...
The Scottish war of Independence was a conflict fought between the kingdom of England and the Kingdom of
Scotland as Edward the 1st of England sought to subjugate the kingdom.
Edward is once again invading Scotland, but before he personally leads his army he sends
another army to secure parts of Scotland under the command of Sir John Segrave.
