The Ochil Hills Scottish Gaelic: Monadh Ochail – from a Celtic word root, compare Old Welsh uchel meaning 'high' or 'tall')
is a range of hills in Scotland north of the Forth valley bordered by the towns of Stirling, Alloa, Kinross, Auchterarder and Perth.

The Ochil Hills of Old were Lit with Bonfires when an English attack was Iminent.
They could be seen for miles. This gave the villagers time to flee ahead of an attack.
