The Pub's shut

Post by Ash » Sun Jun 26, 2005 11:11 am

A tune for a friend in Sydney who was visiting a competition for the first time and wasn't aware that the pub's shut a little earlier in country towns than what they do in the big smoke. It came out a little funny, with the variation in time signatures, particularly in the 2nd and 4th parts..... ohh well, thats what came out :D

Time changes are real smooth--altogether a nice sound. Sometimes "a little funny" means it doesn't sound like everything else. Thanks for the addition to the repetoire--I think I'll learn this one.

Thanks guys, the tune is one of my first completed tunes  Now I know what some composers talk about when they say they have an idea floating around their head, just waiting for the right spark to let it all come out as a tune.
