The Request/Discussion forum is here to be used by people to get tunes they are needing quickly, looking for new tunes to play, having difficulty finding the tunes elsewhere or by people who just don't have the money to buy a book for the sake of one tune.

It is not intended as a replacement for buying books.

RULES

Please observe the following rules:

+Don't ask for entire collections - if you like the composer/collection so much then buy the book. There are lots of places on the internet where you can buy piping music books - if you are stuck ask here and we will do our best to help you out.

--->Don't ask for more than 2 tunes at a time from the same composer.

--->Don't ask for more than 5 tunes at one time.

+Some composers/publishers have specifically contacted us and asked that their tunes not be shared. Please the Banned Tunes post before asking for a tune.

Posts in the forum which go against these rules will be deleted by the moderators. Persistant offenders will be banned.

How to request a tune

+Check the Tune Database first - the tune you are after might be available from there.

+You are more likley to get a tune if you include the TUNE NAME and the FORMAT you require in the SUBJECT of your post.

+Make sure your email address is available either in your profile, or by including it in your post. Nobody can send you a tune if they don't know where to send it to :P

+Don't piggy-back your own request onto an existing request by someone else as there is a good change this will be missed. Create a new request.

+If you prefer (or if the person requesting a tune has forgotten to publish their email address) you can attatch the tune file to a private message. Note that you can only send 1 attatchment per private message, so if you want to send multiple files you either have to zip them, or send multiple private messages.

+FUnfufilled requests older than 3 weeks are automatically deleted - feel free to repost if you still are looking for the tune.
