The wine glass reel

Just as the title suggests, but never sure if empty or full - maybe half way, eh?

Still Needs Editing

It appears you are saying that you will be left with 2 sharps instead of 4. The object of the exercise is to be rid of the sharps altogether. And there still remains the issue of changing the key within the configuration to ensure it plays correctly, setting C to C# and F to F#, see the attached pic...

A Hog in the Bantam pen

Just imagine.... a feisty wee pig in the same pen as a bunch of fiery tempered Bantam hens. I've seen it and it should've been on the telly, but it was all such a long time ago. Ah, the memories of youth.

A watery sunset over a Scottish Island

I have a couple of sunset pictures that I have taken whilst out an about and this wee tune describes the mood of such a scene.

The Mighty Moriston

I was reading an article on line about the splendid fishing to be had on the Moriston river, between fort William and Inverness and some of the article mentioned the loss of some of the majesty of the river after the construction of the Loch Cluanie dam in the 1950's, which I thought was a shame. Al...

The Secret Assignation

I was trying to think of a wee tune to go after a march 'WHAT I DID ALSO WROTE', soon to be posted here, when I thought of a secret rendevous between two young lovers (don't ask me where it came from) and this wee Strathspey followed. What can I say, stranger things have happened, I guess.

Rumtopf

I collect West German Pottery, among which a few pieces are Rumtopf (Rum Pot) jars, used primarily for preserving fruit, for which I have written this wee jig. Hope you enjoy!

The Freedom Dash

I was driving along the dual carriage way to work the other morning, when what looked like a shrew dashed across the opposite side of the road on to the centre reservation. It then tried the same on my side, but as I approached, it stopped for about half a second, then turned tail and dashed back to...

Dance for 2sox

Sorry, forgot when I composed this, a wee while ago for sure. It's a wee tribute to my mate Les's dog, who has markings on him which determines his name, how much more simple can it be.
