My hope for this site is for it to be a community effort. There are many ways that you can get involved, and how much time you are willing to spend is entirely up to you.

Here are some of the ways you can help:

Idea Use the site
You are already helping by just being here. Register on the forum and request tunes, answer requests, download tunes and give composers feedback - doing all these help make this a livley and usefull place to come. If you like this site, spread the word by whatever means you can.

Idea Add piping sites to the links sections
Add your own site or sites that you find usefull to the links section.

Idea Put your tunes on the site
If you have written a tune and would like to let other pipers play it and get some feedback, then this is the place to put it. You can upload your tune in the "Compositions" section. If you know composers who have written a tune but they don't really use the internet, ask them if you can put their tunes up for them.
Easy to follow instructions on how to put a tune up can be found in the Information forum. You can even post tunes to me by old fashioned letter and we will transcribe them and put them up for you.
Don't worry if you are not sure if your tune is 'good' enough - tunes are personal preferences and we accept any tune legible enough to display.

Idea Help build the Public Domain Tunes library
Public Domain Tunes are tunes that we can make freely available on this site because they are not restricted by copyright. You can help build this collection by transcribing these tunes, uploading ones from your collection and by researching the copyright status of tunes.
Short of uploading your own compositions, helping here is probably the most usefull contribution you can make. To help out in this way, please email or private message me. Helping in this way will add you to the elite secret society of the 'Tune Posters' group Wink

Idea Make a donation
You can contribute to the running costs of the site by making a donation - as much or as little as you like. Click on the button under the logo in the top left of the screen to make a safe and secure donation using PayPal.

If you think you can help in some other way not mentioned here, please post in this forum and let us know about it.

The more people helping, the more usefull a piping resoruce the site will become.

Go on - make your contriubution to the world of piping Exclamation
